Glen Davis was born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. During his college years he
played for Louisiana State University where he was voted for the 2006 SEC
Player of the Year and named to the All-SEC first team. In 2006 as a
sophomore, Glen Davis led the Tigers to their first Final Four appearance
since 1986. While in college he averaged a league leading 18.6 points per
game and a league best 9.7 rebounds per game.
On March 20, 2007, Davis announced that he would forgo his senior season
at LSU and enter his name into the NBA draft. He was drafted by the
Seattle SuperSonics with the 35th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft. He
was later traded to the Boston Celtics along with Ray Allen for Delonte
West, Wally Szczerbiak and Jeff Green.Today he is a 6’9”, 289lb
successful power forward for the Boston Celtics.
Glen is a unique player because of his unreal body strength and his
excellent feel for the game. His physical strength is virtually
unparalleled for a player his height. He has the ability to physically
overpower players, but also has the skills and finesse of a smaller,
more agile player. He sets up strong on the block and establishes
position immediately and can seal off players with a simple use of his
off arm. Opponents can’t get in front of him. He excels at squaring up
from 12 feet and taking bigger players off the dribble.
His charismatic personality, similar to that of Shaquille O’Neal’s, has
led to the endearing nickname the “Big Baby”. He is a complete team
player and acts as a leader in the locker room.

GD:Yes!
I need to make sure my eyebrows are groomed. I use a bit of eyebrow grease
to make sure I got the swagger deal going on.
